How To Make Money From Your New Year’s Resolutions

Would you like to be able to make some extra cash from your new year resolutions? This is a reality thanks to the internet.

The idea I’m going to talk about involves set up a blog. This blog’s content will follow you as you embark on your battle of your new year resolutions. If you can make it useful, entertaining, interesting and inspirational then you can make money from it.

(If you don’t want to set up a blog, you can still make money online selling products without a website.)How To Make Money From Your New Year's Resolutions

Method

All you need is a blog. There are many free options, such as http://www.blogger.com (run by Google) and http://wordpress.com. They are both very reputable and relatively straight forward to set up. You don’t need to be a computer programmer. You just need a little patience and a willingness to learn.

Once you have a blog, you can start updating it. The idea is to show the world your progress with your new year’s resolutions. Like a diary you can keep track of your day to day journey. You can write about your thoughts and feelings as well as your methods. Pictures of your progress are also good as people love pictures that tell a story.

Weight loss in particular is perfect for this idea because your visitors can track your progress using before and after pictures and stats, such as your measurements and weight. You could even film yourself being weighed every week. This provides proof to your visitors about whether your methods are working or not. This is important for trust, which I will discuss later.

The public like to follow peoples’ journey when pursuing a goal. They like to hear about their inner thoughts and feelings. This inspires and informs them. They can follow what works and doesn’t work for you. You can be an inspiration to thousands of people.

People will get to know you, which is great for building trust. When you have trust online, you can make money.

Affiliate marketing

In order to make money from your blog you can do what is known as affiliate marketing. This is where you earn a commission for selling someone’s product for them. The great thing about this is that it requires no money up front. So you can never be out of pocket. The worst you can possibly do is sell nothing and break even. You have nothing to lose. The affiliate vendor sorts out everything such as stock and delivery. You just provide the website traffic.

Imagine you wanted to sell the HypnoBusters product Gastric Band Hypnotherapy. You join the affiliate program (for free) and get an affiliate link that is unique to you. Then place this link on your blog. This might be as part of a banner, or as a text link.

When your visitors clicks on your unique affiliate link, they are taken to the product’s sales page. This is automatically tracked by the affiliate software. You are automatically credited with a percentage of the sale (50% in the case of HypnoBusters products) when your visitor makes a purchase. It’s all automatic, so you can literally earn money in your sleep!

Review a product

A really good way to make money with affiliate marketing is to try out the product yourself. You could use a product that has an affiliate program and try it over a period of time. You can then detail your progress when using it. Stats, pictures and inner thoughts. Show as much proof as you can about your results.

If your new year resolution is to quit smoking, you could try a quit smoking product and detail what it did for you. Allow people to see for themselves how the product performed. If it worked well then you can recommend it based on your results. You can link to it with your special affiliate link and earn a percentage commission for every sale you generate.

HypnoBusters affiliate program is perfect for this. There is a product that can help with practically any new years resolution. The beauty is that even if a person clicks on your link and buys a different product to what you are selling (which happens quite often), you still get commission for the sale. This gives you more chance to sell than a website with just one product.

Promoting your blog

In order to make a good amount from your blog you must get lots of visitors. There are many ways to do this and I can’t possibly cover them all here. You can find a few more suggestions here – how to promote a blog post.

One of the best ways is to use social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Don’t just add a link to your content though. Write a few words that will grab peoples’ interest and will get a discussion going, then add your link with this.

Also if you publish a good picture on your blog post, this should appear on Facebook and Google +. This helps attract even more attention.

Be really active in discussing your post or anything else that people want to talk about. This massively helps increase interest in your content.

Final thoughts

Making a blog detailing your journey with your new year’s resolution can really gain you a loyal following. The good thing is that it is unique because it is about you. It will not be like any other blog out there.

You must do it with honesty and integrity. Put the effort in and lay yourself bare. People will become inspired by your efforts and hopefully will visit you often to see how you’re doing, and tell others about you too.

Remember that peoples’ time is precious online. There is almost an infinite amount of material for them to read, so you have to give them a good reason to visit you. Do good work and people will visit and you will make money. Allow them to get to know you, and be interested in your goals, and learn from you. Help them with their goals too, and you will have a loyal following of friends forever. Good luck!

Why It’s Hard To Stick To Your New Year’s Resolutions

Why It’s Hard To Stick To Your New Year’s Resolutions

Most people are full of good intentions when it’s a new year. They may want to lose weight, quit smoking, or earn more money. But when it comes to action, this enthusiasm often fizzles out. Why is it so hard to stick to your new years resolutions, even when you want this change?

You haven’t told your subconscious mind

We basically have 2 sides to our mind we use to make decisions. It’s your conscious and subconscious minds. Before I move on, I’ll give you a brief explanation of them both.

Conscious mind – Is the part responsible for your logical thinking. It’s also the voice in your head when you speak to yourself. Your conscious mind is the part of your mind that you use for doing maths and solving logical problems.

Subconscious mind – Is the part responsible for your automatic flowing thoughts. It’s what lets you catch a ball without thinking. Or breathe with no conscious thought. Your subconscious mind also controls your automatic fears, habits and urges. Your subconscious mind might trigger an automatic fear response when you see a spider, even though your conscious mind knows its not dangerous.

Caught in two mindstemptation

The problem when someone wants to make a change is that usually only their conscious mind knows this. This catches them literally in two minds. Their conscious mind wants to quit smoking, eat less or exercise more, but their subconscious mind wants to continue. Your subconscious mind likes pleasure, and often doesn’t understand why you’d want to deny yourself.

When caught in two minds, there’s only one winner. Your subconscious mind keeps sending automatic urges, over and over again, nagging away at you. Irresistible cravings take over almost every thought. Eventually most people crack and succumb to these urges. And the new year’s resolution goes out the window.

Hypnotherapy can help!

A big part of a hypnotherapist’s work is telling someone’s subconscious mind what they consciously want. A patient may wish to quit smoking (on a conscious level). I tell their subconscious mind of their conscious desire to quit smoking.

Once your subconscious mind is on board, it’s much easier to stick to your resolutions. Your conscious and subconscious minds are in harmony. So there’s no more subconscious nagging.

How to help yourself

Visualise Yourself To Success!

A great way to tell your subconscious mind what you want is by visualisation. Visualise the positive end of what you want. For instance if you want to lose weight, don’t visualise yourself starving and doing gruelling exercises. This won’t entice your subconscious mind to cooperate. Instead visualise yourself at your ideal weight, as clearly as you can, feeling all the nice benefits of this. Looking great, attracting others etc. It’s not essential, but if you learn self hypnosis, this helps make the visualisation brighter and bolder. The message is more likely to be understood by your subconscious mind.

It’s a great idea to leave yourself reminders of your goals. You may have a goal that you want to make more money to buy a luxury house. First visualise the house of your dreams as if you already own it. It’s a good idea to do this every day for the first week, then about once a week after that. (This is just a general rule of thumb. You may want to do more.)

Once you have visualised this, get pictures of what you want your house to look like and leave them in prominent places. If you work at your computer, then it is great place to leave a picture. This will inspire you when you work.

Many experts agree that if you consciously force yourself to change a habit for 28 days, this new habit ingrains itself into your subconscious mind and becomes automatic. So if you have the willpower, force yourself into this change for 28 days. After this, things should be much easier.

Final thoughts

In order to stick to your new years resolutions, you must have both your conscious and subconscious minds working towards the same goal. Any conflict between the two is likely to see your subconscious win in the end. And you return to your old behaviours.

Find a way to get your subconscious mind to want the same thing as your conscious mind, and it’s far easier to make a permanent change.

Tribute To Nelson Mandela

Tribute To Nelson Mandela

Tribute To Nelson Mandela…

If you want to learn how to navigate your way through your human flaws to achieve great things, then Nelson Mandela is a shining example.Tribute To Nelson Mandela

Mandela died 5th December 2013 at the age of 95. He was imprisoned for 27 years, between 1963 and 1990 due to his vigorous and sometimes violent campaign against South Africa’s Apartheid. This was a system which gave voting and many other rights exclusively to white South Africans.

I remember watching Mandela’s release live on TV as a 14 year old. This now elderly grey haired man gave an eloquent speech, broadcast live to millions of people across the world. This was just hours after being released from a 27 year prison term, That takes someone special. He was well aware of the impact his words would have for many years to come. This was a big moment.

Instead of preaching hate towards the minority white people, he pledged his commitment to fight apartheid and live peacefully side by side. “We cannot climb to freedom on the corpses of innocent people”. This takes a man of enormous strength to feel this way after such harsh treatment.

By 1994 Mandela had helped negotiate the end of the apartheid regime, and became South Africa’s first black president. He was also their first president elected by a vote from the whole of the population.

True to his word, President Mandela was committed to protecting white South African’s and encouraging them to stay in South Africa. This integration was Mandela’s main focus until his presidency ended in 1999. He knew that without successful integration, South Africa would still be a country full of violence and hatred.

Of course he was committed to improving the infrastructure to the black population. There was a massive gulf of inequality between the services offered to black and white people. Gradually he improved the provision of things such as health care and education.

Mandela gained global appeal because of his charisma and strength of spirit, refusing to be broken despite how he was treated. He fought with love rather than hate, and knew the importance of keeping everyone working together, rather than against each other. His strength of character served as an example for others to follow.

If you want to learn more about Nelson Mandela, check out his autobiography “A Long Walk To Freedom”. He wrote his inner most thoughts secretly during his 27 year imprisonment. Mandela is honest about his flaws as a human being, and shows that everyone has it in them to make a difference in the world.

To end our tribute to Nelson Mandela, I have included some of my personal favourite Mandela quotes. Feel free to share your favourites in the comments bellow…

Nelson Mandela TributeQuotes

“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

“There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”

“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.”

“Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed toward the sun, one’s feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death.”

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”

A BIG part of Mandela’s armoury was his brilliance as a public speaker. Even straight after 27 years in prison he was able to deliver an inspirational speech. Public speaking is all in your mind, and I can help you…

Most Common Regrets Of The Dying

Most Common Regrets Of The Dying

Most Common Regrets Of The DyingMost Common Regrets Of The Dying…

I was talking to a friend, Karen recently who has a unique take on life. She has worked in palliative care for more than 15 years. Karen has witnessed hundreds of people going through the dying process. She got to know them, comfort them, and listen to them.

Although she has such a demanding job, she is always the life and soul of the party. She always has a smile on her face, and is a constant joy to be around. I asked her what her secret was. I was astounded by her response.

“I see great suffering and sadness, but I also see the naked human spirit, true and honest, baring all.”

People at the end of their lives often bare their souls to her. She has listened and learned for many years, and this has helped her grow into the tremendous human being she has become. People have shared there deep thoughts and regrets on life. She wants to pass some of what she has learned to you.

So we worked together and compiled the top regrets that people have when about to die, so you can learn from other peoples’ mistakes. This really gives you food for thought…

Not being true to yourselfMost Common Regrets Of The Dying

Many people admit that they regret not living the life they truly wanted to lead. They realised that they spent too much trying to please others, and doing what is expected of them. Many patients even admit to getting married and having children simply because that was what was expected of them. Ask yourself what it is in life that you really want.

Worrying about unimportant things

Another top regret is worrying about things that aren’t really important. Once you realise your life is coming to an end, material things don’t matter so much. Don’t worry about whether you can afford the latest phone for your child’s Christmas present. If you can then great – if you can’t then get them what you can afford. Focus on love and care for each other, and enjoy each others company. That’s what really matters.

Worrying about what people think of them

Many people about to die realise that they have severely limited their lives by worrying too much about what people think of them. They felt they couldn’t truly be themselves through fear of upsetting others. If you feel strongly about something, then you should be able to tell your loved ones. If they care for you, they’ll support you.

Not having time for friends and family

A big regret is not spending enough time with friends or family. Many people spend years working, saving and doing household chores and forgetting their friends and family. Inevitably they drift apart until one day they realise they are a lonely old person. Value your friends, as one day you will realise that you have lost them forever.

Forgetting to play

Many people regret not allowing themselves the time to do things they want to do. This might be hobbies and interests, travelling etc. Don’t get caught on the hamster wheel. Jump off, explore the world and have some fun.

Final thoughts

Remember that you will not be here for ever. Your time on this earth is precious and should be cherished and valued. Use this as inspiration to make the most of your life, and lead the life you truly want. Maybe you haven’t done this in the past. That’s OK – you cannot change that. However you can do something about your future. Be good to those around you, but also remember to be good to yourself.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life” – Charles Dederich

How Hypnosis Works

How Hypnosis WorksLearn right now how hypnosis works…

Can hypnosis help you grow into a wonderfully healthy and successful person?

There is a lot of misunderstanding about hypnotherapy. By learning how hypnosis works, you can better decide for yourself whether you wish to use hypnosis to enhance your life. One of the biggest misconceptions is that clinical hypnosis and stage hypnosis are the same thing. This is not true…

Stage hypnosis

Many people’s perception of hypnosis is what they have seen or heard from stage shows. They see people “under” the hypnotists “control”. People “made” to sing like Elvis, or dance like Michael Jackson.

Clinical Hypnotherapist Jon Rhodes
Clinical Hypnotherapist

This is a BIG distortion of the truth.

A stage hypnotist selects suggestible and extrovert members of the audience. In fact they usually volunteer – meaning that they are willing participants.

Everyone on stage could stand up and walk off if they wanted. Only extroverts allow themselves to go on stage and perform. They know what they are letting themselves in for, and want to join in. Peer pressure sees that they continue. Can you imagine someone having the nerve to stop half way through a show?

Trance

A hypnotic trance increases your powers of focus and imagination. It is a natural daydream state of mind, and you remain fully in control. A hypnotic trance helps communication with your unconscious mind. This is the part that is responsible for your habits and urges.

Therapeutic and entertainment hypnosis are two very different things.

A clinical hypnotherapist does not aim to create the illusion of having people ‘under’ control. The aim is to place pre agreed suggestions in your unconscious mind. If you REALLY want to stop smoking, then your unconscious mind will accept these suggestions. This makes it far easier to quit.

Since you are not being controlled, you are free to reject these suggestions. That is why someone who does not want to give up smoking will not benefit from hypnotherapy.

Can hypnosis help me?

Millions of people swear that hypnosis has helped them with many issues such as weight loss, quitting smoking, confidence, phobias, stress, sleep, success, IBS, and many more. I have been a clinical hypnotherapist for several years, and have seen this first hand and received many heart warming testimonials.

Your subconscious mind contains a lot of information that you are not consciously aware of. You may fear spiders for example. Consciously you are aware that this is silly. They are small and harmless. Yet for some reason your subconscious mind triggers an automatic fear response. Usually as a child you saw an adult react in fear from a spider. This passes on the fear to you.

Final thoughts

Now you know how hypnosis works! Hypnotherapy is great for getting to the root of the problem in your subconscious mind. Talking to your conscious mind is a long slow process. A hypnotherapist can talk to your subconscious mind and persuade it to change. They can tell it that spiders are not dangerous. Once told, your subconscious mind knows what your conscious mind knows. That is why with hypnotherapy, change is rapid and permanent.

Many people are missing out on this powerful yet safe therapeutic tool because they don’t understand how hypnosis works. If you haven’t already, CLICK HERE To Check Out My Collection Of Hypnosis Sessions.
